RYAN MACSPADYEN
HEAD COACH
MacSpadyen is the current head coach at Mercy College, where he led the Mavericks to their fifth straight ECC Regular Season and Tournament Championships in his second season as head coach in 2024. Named ECC Coach of the Year, MacSpadyen guided Mercy to the NCAA Tournament for the fifth consecutive season, finishing the year ranked No. 6 nationally with a record of 14-2.
As a player, MacSpadyen had a standout collegiate career at Mercy, where he was part of the team’s first-ever ECC Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance. He currently ranks fourth in program history in goals (133), second in assists (106), and third in points (239). MacSpadyen was twice named an All-American by the USILA and earned the title of ECC Offensive Player of the Year in 2019.
In addition to his collegiate accomplishments, MacSpadyen brings an impressive professional playing background to the Mavericks. A native of Ontario, Canada, he was drafted by the Georgia Swarm of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) with the 13th pick in the first round in 2019, becoming the first player in program history to be drafted. Over the last two seasons, he has played for the Swarm, appearing in 18 games last season, where he recorded four goals, three assists, seven caused turnovers, and 38 loose balls.
EMMETT FAY
ASSISTANT COACH
Emmett played soccer and lacrosse at Mamaroneck High School, where he captained the lacrosse team and was named Offensive MVP in 2017. He was a three-time All-Section lacrosse selection. Emmett went on to play collegiate lacrosse at the Division I University of Vermont. Since college, he has been coaching youth lacrosse in Westchester County.
